Swimming pools, spars and other recirculating water systems, have their own unique issues when it comes to water treatment and disinfection. BioN water Synergetics Pty Ltd have developed equipment specifically designed for dealing with this task. This patented technology is called the Iodiser™.

Iodiser™

The Iodiser technology is suitable for all of types of recirculating water, not only swimming pools. The device dramatically reduces the amount of chemicals required to keep pool in clean and pristine condition. The name has been coined from combining the words ioniser and oxidise. This is because the device incorporates the two functions into a single unit.

Chemical free water treatment

Ionisers (or ionizer in US spelling) have long been recognised as the best chemical free water sanitising and disinfection devices for use on swimming pools. However, whilst providing excellent disinfection and anti-microbial capabilities, they do have one drawback in this application: Ionisers are unable to oxidise organic loading in the water. This means that large quantities of chemicals are still required to complete this function, negating the potential benefits and practicalities of installing such equipment.

The Iodiser™ solves this huge problem by providing electrochemical oxidation of organic material in the water. Whilst this form of oxidising is becoming widespread in water treatment it has always, until now, been a completely separate function to ionisation, or any other process. In the patented Iodiser™ the two processes have been ingeniously interwoven in a single, user friendly, highly efficient device. The unique design of the Iodiser™ enables all of the electrodes used to interact together to provide far more oxidation and at a lower cost than what conventional technology allows.
