“Using a best practice approach, BioN Water Synergetics Pty Ltd provides complete end to end solutions for your water treatment needs”
Potable and tepid water
Products
Potable water and specifically tepid water loops pose an elevated risk for Legionella infections and can host many other waterborne pathogens. This can potentially become a serious issue in all buildings, not only hospitals, health care facilities, nursing homes, hotels, offices and homes.
Our AccuIon™ FT series technology provides a scalable solution for your potable and tepid water treatment needs. The units come in standard sizes as per table below, however, they can be scaled to any flow rate required in either domestic or industrial application.
| Model | Designed Flow Rate (Litres/second) | Recommended pipe size (copper) in mm |
|---|---|---|
| FT-3 PD15 | up to 0.67 | 15 |
| FT-3 PD20 | 0.010 ---- 1.25 | 20 |
| FT-3.2C PD20* | 0.010 ---- 1.25 | 20 |
| FT-9V PD25 | 0.020 ---- 1.83 | 25 |
| FT-9V.2C PD25* | 0.020 ---- 1.83 | 25 |
| FT-19B PD32 | 0.025 ---- 3.00 | 32 |

* These are dual channel units. Their purpose is to enable a variable deposition rate of Ag/Cu ions.
Biocide Performance
Precise ion dosing is the key to effective biocide performance. Hence the ion concentration needs to be kept within a narrow band. Failure to do so will not provide residual disinfection and can completely defeat the purpose of the ionisation equipment. This is the most common reason for customer dissatisfaction with competitor products.
The precise dosing of the FT units is achieved through our unique AccuIon™ technology. This technology allows us to achieve an incredibly stable ion concentration for effective biocidal action. For us there is no place for guess work or rule of thumb engineering!
State of the art equipment that delivers peace of mind 24/7.
Dual Channel units
The AccuIon™ FT models for potable water can also be delivered as a dual channel unit. Its main purpose is to enable a variable deposition rate of Ag/Cu ions. The reason for this is to respond to a pre-existing level of copper ions in the water supply. In order to avoid overdosing, the deposition of copper ions needs to be reduced. This can be achieved by deploying a dual channel unit with separate copper and silver anodes.
This option for the AccuIon™ FT models allows individual control over the deposition rate of silver and copper. Tight control over the operating parameters of the unit is paramount for us, particularly for potable water. It is crucial to ensure that all relevant standards pertaining to water quality and ion concentration are met whilst providing maximum biocidal efficacy.

Shipping and installation
Single phase 240 VAC, three pin plug is standard electrical connection on all equipment. Units are pre-assembled at the factory so as to minimise disruption to water supplies during the installation process.
Once installed, the unit immediately begins charging the water with ions and the anti bacterial action commences. It is important to understand that bio-film, a sludge containing a biological cocktail, is lining the inside of the piping.
Biological protection
The amount of bio-film build up is dependant on the age of the plumbing and significant reductions in microbiological levels will not be evident until the ions have fully invaded and decayed this bio-film. Installations in existing pipe work normally take somewhere between 45 and 90 days for this to occur.
As the ion levels build up in the water throughout the circuit, the copper and silver will afford biological protection downstream of the unit, including areas of low circulation and distal points. Even dead legs are protected; up to 3 metres in length, depending on pipe sizing.
Reduced Corrosion
An additional and highly beneficial aspect of Ionisation technology is the reduction of corrosion in the attached pipe work itself.
